I first met Blayne this past summer over lattes and blueberry scones to talk about the possibility of shooting her wedding. I was enamored by how bubbly and adorable Blayne was. Her sweet personality was so easy to get along with and I loved hearing about her thoughts on wedding photos. Style was extremely important to her and I was THRILLED to chat about her thoughts on everything. We talked about the details, wedding dress styles and time-lines. I felt an immediate connection with Blayne and I felt like we had been friends for years. I loved that we could talk about ANYTHING and I adore Blayne’s style in clothing, taste in music and of COURSE wedding details. I knew we would be a perfect match! It wasn’t until their engagement shoot that I met her fiance Jordy. After getting to know both Blayne and Jordy a bit better, I knew we would have a great time working with these two and couldn’t wait for their wedding day!
Blayne & Jordy both met at the University of Saskatchewan. He was a star for the football team, and Blayne respectively on the volleyball team. Although some of the details of how they met are to be debated we know for sure it St Patties Day. I’m sure it didn’t take much time for them to both fall in love. Their personalities fit like a glove and they seem perfect for each other. It’s easy to fall quickly in love with them!
Robin and I LOVED watching the two interact. They were so sweet and gentle with each other and it was SO easy to pull out their emotions in front of the camera. It’s SO evident how MUCH they love each other. One thing I LOVED about working with these two are their humor and personality. Jordy make us especially Robin laugh numerous times throughout the shoot and we felt SO honored to be able to document such an awesome couple. To see a slideshow of the rest of the day, click HERE

Robin’s angle…I just love how he adored his bride

Blayne was so stunning
These next two are Robin’s the second one has got to be one of my all time fav’s… Thanks Babe!

Some pretty good looking brothers

I loved all the details at this location

Blayne and Jordy had such a fun reception and the dance turned into a great party, check out the whole football team in their “wedding attire” swarm Blayne, but I think my fav is the one with Grandma!

Rochelle and Jody celebrated with family and friends at the gorgeous Emerald Lake Resort in Beautiful British Columbia. We are so blessed to have such amazing clients like Rochelle & Jody that include us and take us with them to capture their Dream Winter Wonderland Wedding. Jody’s 3 girls looked gorgeous and partied into the night. I had a blast shooting my old shooting partner with Julie Williams, check out her amazing website as well. We had a blast shooting in winter paradise. Here are some our fav’s…
This is little Kira, she stole the show in the morning with her “CHEEEEEEESE”
Check out their slideshow here

Like I’ve said before I have the best job in the world, and am so blessed to do what I love

Everyone had their own private chalet to stay in overlooking Emerald Lake. And check out Rochelle’s shoes, I love a bride that kills it with the shoes!

Jody’s pretty girls
Emerald Lake was a great place to shoot, everywhere we looked there was so many great things to shoot

The family

Rochelle’s Brother hooked her up with his friends from Vancouver to turn the room in to her Winter Wonderland Vision. debut Event Design Inc out of Vancouver put this all together. David and Maurizio and their team were fabulous in the transformation. Check out their work

Fantastic shots! Never been at that resort before, but it looks amazing, I’ll be sure to pass it along to clients!. And the weather looks fairly warm too out there! Much better than the -30 we’ve been having on and off, haha. Great stuff as always!

Karl & Paulette had the most beautiful and intimate winter wedding. The day was filled with love, family, and friends. Here are some of the images from the day

Karl was pretty smitten with his bride

Kira, you are awesome. Thanks for the awesome pics, having you as our photographer was definitely a big part of what made our day so perfect and we’re super stoked about the pictures. Freezing our balls off for two hours at the risk of severe frostbite was totally worth it.
Very nice! I love the snow in the pictures. And BLISS does do a great job, hey? Not sure if they were there with you that day but they are fantastic people to work with too. Glad things went great for ya!

The Olympic Torch made its way past our studio yesterday. It was so inspiring to see everyone rally around the symbol of the Olympic Games. The torch bearer on our leg was so excited and had a smile from ear to ear. Seeing it up close was great and I am pumped and ready to see Canada kick some butt at the 2010 Games. Here a few shots, enjoy!
