Gerelt + Brad : Engaged

I met Gerelt and Brad for Coffee last winter to discuss photographing their wedding and get to know these two love birds a little better.  These two are super smitten, Geralt is very bubbly and so energizing to be around.  Brad is soft spoken and down to earth.  We talked about how they come to meet and how they fell in love.
Gerelt is from Mongolia and came to Saskatoon for School where Brad was also attending. It was a quick meeting 7 years ago at church where they first crossed paths but years went by and met they again at the Election campaign when Brad was running for the Conservatives.  It was meant to be from there on. Eventually, professional relationship turned into friendship and from then on their story has evolved into a great love story.  I cannot wait to document the continuation of this love story this summer.

We went up the the University Grounds to capture some of the gorgeous evening light
Gerelt, I know you say your shy, but seriously… Gorgeous!!Since Brad is a Saskatchewan Farm Boy and Gerelt is essentially a Mongolian ‘farm girl’ according to these two, it was only necessary to head out to the farm for some shotsAnd a few shots to remind them of where they met.

Tricia + Tasos : Engaged

I had a great time with these two on their engagement session. The theme for their enagement session was a day in the life of Tricia and Tasos.

Tricia and Tasos have their own business downtown in the same building so what better place to start off the session than on the Rooftop of Taverna…

Love this one of them looking over downtown SaskatoonLove you two…I am so excited your wedding in a couple days! After some shots downtown we went to their stomping grounds near their home for some espresso and time with their puppies…

Crystal + Marc = Anderson

Meet little Baby Anderson.  He is the handsonlittle man of Marc and Crystal.  He is such a cutie, and that look he definitely has you in his sights : )

I love what they have done with his baby room, some Teddy’s from all over the world, the Anderson family Tartan, and yes if you caught it that is a 40 year old bottle of Glenfiddich Scotch given to this little guy by his proud Grandpa!

Perfect little ears…

Big Blue Eyes…

And there is that “look” if he’s not smiling, he’s checkin you out!

Crystal you are so beautiful, and now that you have become a mother, you shine!

One of my favorites of the day

Sheena + Cody Engaged

Cody and Sheena have crossed paths many times before they realized they were meant to be.  She had always told my girlfriends, “I just want my farmer already!” (Spoken like a true country girl.) little did she know she already knew him…

Finally, seven years ago by chance, Cody came back to her home town. They instantly connected, and from there they spent one of the best summers of their lives getting to know each other through late night talks in the rain, back road cruising, star gazing, and contagious laughter.  To this day they love the rain, as it reminds them of where they first started out.  From that point on they were inseparable…. they are mirror reflections of what each other wanted and needed as a partner and in life. They are and always be a perfect tapestry of fate and love.

Cody & Sheena, I am so excited out paths have crossed. You both are such an amazing duo and I could not be more thrilled for you and am honored to capture the memories on you big day!

Here are a few favorites from their engagement shoot on their 100 year farm homestead that has been passed through Cody’s Family and that they now call home!

Hoda + Aqeel : Married

This wedding had it all!  An amazing bride and groom that came together to celebrate their marriage in style and tradition.  Hoda is Egyptian and Aqeel Sri Lankan and together brought in so many amazing touches from each of their cultures.  Crystal and her team from RSVP Event Design transformed the Adam Ballroom at the Bessborough into an amazing setting for the evening.

Hoda and Aqeel were married the day before in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.  And Saturday was truly an amazing celebration…

Another amazing bouquet from Blossoms

Hoda, you are such a beauty!

Aqeel Surprised Hoda with an embellishment to match her dress… so awesome! The Zeffa was great, they were drummed in to all their family and friends, before leading everyone into the ballroomRSVP Transformed the room, so prettyIf you haven’t had a tasting from Wayne at Bridge City Cakes …you are missing outThe night was filled different dances, this one was part of the candle dance

Aqeel’s Grandmother came all the way from Sri Lanka by herself…  This woman is truly inspiring, all night she was beaming
