I traveled to Yorkton to capture Erin & Garett’s Wedding.  We were nervous with all the snow that had fallen leading up to their big day.  But we lucked out and had a gorgeous day with warm temperatures.  Gorgeous fall colors and a fab crew.  I had a blast, you made me feel home away from home.   Erin, you were timeless, you dreamed up and planned the most beautiful wedding day for you and Garett.  I think you should quit your job at the hospital and become a full time wedding planner.

Thanks for making me part of your day, it was a blast!  Enjoy some favorites from the day.

These kids were priceless

This is George…doesn’t he look cute in his bow-tie his mommy made for him?The gorgeous brideIt is always great shooting with Erin, her eyes are gorgeous, and flawless skin.we had the most amazing light that nightErin is a girl of many talents, she made all the flower arrangements…she even made this cake from scratch, and I am not a huge fan of wedding cake, this was the most delectable cake I have ever had!  I think there were 3 different gourmet layers of heavenly flavors.   She sent me home with the lemon chiffon layer, and all the way home there was a party goin on in my mouth!Check out their Slideshow

The dark clouds slowly crept in from over the horizon as the Girls got ready in the morning.  I would be a liar if I said wasn’t a little bit nervous about what would happen if the sky decided to open up that day.  You see Michelle and Hemant are all about the experience, enjoying their day full and spending their day with friends and loved ones.  After their Theatre Ceremony, we planned to walk through the city, across the bridge to downtown to where their reception would be.  Along the way stopping to take photos.  As we left for the ceremony it was getting worse, and we decided to put plan ‘B‘ into action.

Inside Michelle and Hemant had a beautiful ceremony filled with tradition and splendor, color, and singing.  It was perfect!  They united as husband and wife and were finally complete.  We stepped outside and to my surprise, the sun broke through the rain clouds on Saturday afternoon and shawn all day long.  We walked through the downtown taking pictures along the way and it was perfect.

There wasn’t a soul who didn’t know. Downtown streets parted , cars honked,  people shouted their congratulations when the beautiful couple floated past them,  and store owners even let us into their storefront to applaud such a momentous day. There wasn’t a soul who didn’t know Erin and Adam were two of the happiest people in the world–marrying each other. Their smiles were contagious and if their love was a color, it would be bright orange! …they were happy. Ecstatic. Elated. And everyone knew.

Adam & Erin were high school sweethearts who stayed by each other’s sides through all of life’s up and downs. Happy. Ecstatic. Elated. And everyone knew.

The suns rays  brightly painted that Saturday afternoon and illuminated the already bright and happy day. Two amazing souls were uniting and the world–no, the universe–wanted to congratulate them. Adam & Erin soaked up all the attention wedded bliss affords. They waved to strangers, hollered back at the honking cars, from their fabulous ’54 Bel Air and thanked strangers for their well wishes. They were happy. Ecstatic. Elated. And everyone knew.

Adam & Erin…would it be weird if I told you I felt your love? The way I feel the warm sun on my face, I truly felt the love you share. Thank you for allowing me to document the day when God stopped to give you the blessing of foreverness. I felt so incredibly happy to commemorate your lives together and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for one of the best couples I know! I hope your Hawaiian honeymoon was all you hoped and dreamed for.  Congratulations Mr. & Mrs.!   Much Love and Appreciation…Kira..
