Saskatoon Engagement Photography : Kent + Kerri

Well when Kent and Kerri called me up one day to inquire about wedding collections, they were kind, and polite, but most of all had a energy about them that I could get over the phone.  They let me know that they were coming into Saskatoon in a couple weeks and would like to get together.  So over coffee we chatted about their wedding, the venue, recommendations for other vendors, and of course photography.  And as we got into talking we discovered that Kent and I in fact grew up minutes from each other, our brothers went to school together, and the land that Robin and I own is down the road from his parents…. insert creepy horror movie music here… it seems to be small world ….

I loved when I found out how these two met: online. Sometimes couples are hesitant to admit that, but I think it’s awesome!  Kent lives in Arkansas, and Kerri in Texas so naturally I had to know how their paths initially crossed.   Kent had tried dating in his area, but admitted to me it was ‘slim pickins.’ Hahah!  So he decided to expand his search to a 3 hour radius.   So BING… Kent had hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands of profiles staring him in the face.  So he realized he was going to get a little more specific.  So he did just so, and now had a more manageable 10 page list to peruse.  And as he looked around, one stood out, the profile read… “Not everything from Canada is cold!…” This intrigued Kent, as you see Kent is also a fellow Canadian, so he decided it could be a sign and gave her a wink!   So on the other end Kerri, took a look and they discovered how they are both from Canada.  Well these two Canadians living in the south had made a connection.  So in conversation, he said he was from a small little town called Delisle, Saskatchewan.    Well get out of town, Kerri is from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan!  This must be fate, these two adopted Americans that lived miles apart in the State only grew up just a few hours from each other, and were destined to be together.

And well they hit it off, really so great it turns out that their search for love did work out and these two are becoming husband and wife in a couple months.  Recently they came home for a visit and we took some time to take a few shots,  Enjoy the photos!
