I’m so, so, so happy to see my Clients Sasha & Shamus’ Sleepy hollow inspired wedding published today on weddingbells.ca!
This couple was so much fun and Sasha was truly stunning. I love working with Crystal and the team over at RSVP Event Design. They transformed the ballroom at the Delta Bessborough into a stunning, magical ‘Sleepy Hollow’

These two both grew up in small town Saskatchewan – two towns only 30 mins apart. They became friends throughout high school but went their separate ways through university. Their paths crossed again towards the end of their degree programs and as they spent time reminiscing and catching up they realized something more than friendship lingered. Mitch had every detail planned for their romantic engagement. They enjoyed a lazy Saturday morning together and then walked to a nearby coffee shop. In the meantime Mitch had organized for a good friend of Danielle’s to come to the house, scatter rose petals all over the main level floor, set out a dozen roses and spread out and light a 100 tea light candles all while they were enjoying their coffees. As they walked back to the house he brought up how much he loved her and when she walked into the house it was a blur of glowing candles and red roses, Danielle turned back around to see Mitch down on one knee asking her to marry him!
Now here they are, engaged and have a great wedding planned this summer! We are so excited to be there as they start out their new lives together…

Gorgeous shots Kira!

I met Crystal a few years ago when I photographed one of her Clients weddings. Some of you may know Crystal from past weddings on the blog, she is the Genius Wedding Planner behind RSVP Event Design right here in Saskatoon. I was so honored to be asked to shoot her very own wedding, and cannot wait to see what she has in store. I met her and Marc and their fabulous home to shoot some winter engagement photos… We had a blast and I can’t wait to shoot again there on their big day.
She joked with Coleen her very best friend… “if only I could meet a guy that could make me laugh, and even make standing in long line-ups more bearable…that would be a bonus!”
Fast forward to their first date…Crystal and Marc, spent the entire evening talking, laughing and joking around and as their friendship deepened. On their first trip together, as they stood in the long security line-up, he passed the test making her laugh and forget about her lineup frustrations… with this Crystal thought to herself, I think I found the one!
As time went on and the minutes turned to hours, and hours into days, they grew to love each other more and more.
Crystal just returned from Vegas for some wedding shopping. And along the way just happened to pick up this fabulous pair of Christian Louboutins…

Crystal and Mark have such a beautiful home, and the light just poured in…

We set outside for a few shots in the snow. We should really send these shots in to the Louboutins website, as Crystal rocked them on the slippery snow!

Kent & Kerri are the type of people that are so appreciative, so sincere, and so in love that, as a wedding photographer, you can’t help but get caught up in the emotion of the day. This amazing couple traveled all the way from Texas back to their home town to be married in front of family and friends in a beautiful ceremony with a unique charm and personality. I was so proud of these expatriates, they were so great and braved the -30 C with windchill deep freeze! I hope you are both now warm and cozy back in Texas…I am still waiting to thaw!
With Christmas decor for the holidays, great food and drinks, and warm company ready to have a good time, this was truly an ideal evening to celebrate the beginning of Kent and Kerri’s lives together as a married couple. Enjoy!
Had to Start off with Kerri’s AMAZING Vera Wang Wedding Gown and ultra fab Jimmy Choo’s… anyone who keeps up with the blog know how I feel about a great pair of shoes!

Kennedi was such an amazing Maid of Honor
Love this shot Robin Captured during prayer

They were so amazing, and braved the cold like true Canucks!

Their reception was held at TCU Place and it looked like a million bucks…

Kennedi had a special poem she wrote for Kerri, and I just love these two side by side
